1. SHIN ZUSHI

A Japanese restaurant praised by many, Shin Zushi serves some good Japanese food at an affordable price. A quaint spot that is relatively small, they get a better control on their quality and service. We recommend trying out their aburi sushi and sushi rolls. Lunch sets are available too and they’re worth the money. Do come a little earlier during peak hours as they’re usually full.

2. PEEKABOO CAFE

Peekaboo Coffee at Arked Esplanad Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur, just two streets away from our favourite Fishee Coffee.

Savoury food on menu ranges from general selections like Sauteed Vege Pasta, Wild Mushroom Pasta, Teriyaki Chicken Spaghetti, Smoked Salmon Carbonara Pasta, Teriyaki Chicken Rice, Japanese Chicken Rice, Big Breakfast to more gimmick picks including Egg Benedict Waffle, Fried Chicken Waffle Sandwich; as well as a range of homemade waffles that Peekaboo Cafe prides at. Fix your mookata craving here at Thai Jjang, they’re a new addition in the area. Thai Jjang offers a casual mookata experience, where you can grill and steamboat at the same price. They have other Thai favourites like tomyam and mooping, but their mookata is still the better one on the menu. You won’t lose an arm or a leg at Thai Jjang, they’re one of the more affordable places to eat in Bukit Jalil.

Munching Mob is more like a neighbourhood cafe, cozy and welcoming, very much suitable for family crowd. Four words to describe Murni: Cheap, big, delicious and fast. Flocked by regulars day and night, their peak hours are usually full house. With an extensive menu of mamak fares and decent selection of western and pasta, one can never go wrong over here. Murni Discovery is one of the popular places to eat in Bukit Jalil and a good break from cafes and restaurants.

When we first visited Fishee Coffee, she is still at her very initial stage. But what made the cafe memorable is the service, something we remembered till today. We’re yet to revisit Fishee Coffee, which believe has been getting better with coffee, awesome waffles, breakfast set, etc for the menu.

Their Taiwanese pancakes are well proclaimed authentic by many. Red Drip doesn’t have those contemporary, hipster vibe. Instead, comfortable with good food.

You are good, go “getter”. Go-getter Cafe surfaces quietly in Bukit Jalil with a full-fledge breakfast and lunch menu at affordable price. Asian rice dishes available soon too. They may not get a much attention as The Owls Cafe located beside, but definitely deserves a visit. Decent food with a twist of creativity, everything affordable price. You can have a curry seafood pasta at only RM12, for small, RM17 for big portion. Try their Salted Egg Yolk “Lau Sha” Charcoal waffle, Ondeh-Ondeh Pandan Waffle, Cream Cheese Red Velvet Waffle.
